Excel 2010 – Locking Columns and Rows

In this session, we will show you how to Freeze and Split panes in Excel 2010. Freeze panes allow you to freeze columns and rows making them visible as you scroll within a worksheet. Split panes allow you to split your worksheet into multiple views, letting you scroll in one pane of the worksheet, while other panes remain static.

Copy Formulas with the Fill Handle

1. Create the formula in the appropriate cell on the spreadsheet.

2. Click on that cell to make it the active cell.

3. Click and hold down the mouse pointer on the fill handle in the bottom right corner of the active cell.

4. Drag the fill handle to copy the formula to as many cells as needed.
